As a kid, I ranked comedy teams as follows: Marx Bros: high intellectualism (they’d play it on PBS) Laurel & Hardy: also high class Abbott & Costello: pretty good Three Stooges: cheap trashy laffs Rewatching the Stooges as an adult, I realized how good they actually were.
