We’re excited to welcome the newest cohort of Heritage Documentation Training (HDT) grantees. Selected through a highly competitive process, ten participants from Argentina, Bhutan, India, Mexico, Namibia, Nepal, Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States are now in their second week of training. Together, they are building the skills needed to document and share cultural heritage using the latest 3D methodologies. Step into the monumental amphitheatre of El Jem, North Africa’s largest Roman amphitheatre, with a new interactive experience. As part of the Community Heritage Exchange Initiative, CyArk worked with StoryCenter and local partners @Carthagina in Tunisia to document the UNESCO World Heritage Site and create an immersive online tour. Explore “Our Land, Our Story: Crossroads of History”—a free virtual museum experience featuring 25 interactive 3D artifacts, available worldwide on mobile or desktop. Explore here: tapestry.cyark.org/content/ukrain… This launch reflects three years of close collaboration, including the training of 32 Ukrainian heritage professionals from 10 institutions. Trainees were instructed in 3D documentation and provided equipment for the ongoing digitization of at-risk heritage locally. Together, the teams have digitized over 350+ archaeological sites and artifacts. This project is a collaboration between CyArk and Ukrainian partners @lab_archaic and the Odesa Archaeological Museum, with support from @IronMountain.

NASA has officially started the rehearsal to launch Artemis ll - the first crewed mission back to the Moon since 1972! While this crew won't be landing on the surface, they will do critical research for future lunar landing missions. This grant offers 10 emerging professionals the unique opportunity to receive comprehensive, hands-on training in photogrammetry completely free of charge. Over an intensive 3-week virtual program, grantees will learn directly from CyArk’s field capture and processing experts, mastering industry-standard software to preserve our shared history. Yesterday marked the 84th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. While the USS Arizona is widely recognized, the USS Utah also remains in the harbor, often referred to as the "Forgotten Ship." You can now explore the site virtually through Tapestry. This interactive 3D model shows the vessel exactly as it sits on the harbor floor today, providing a way to view the wreck up close and learn about its history from anywhere. Blending expert insight, local knowledge, and immersive soundscapes, the experience reveals how the Nabataeans shaped this desert masterpiece through trade, water engineering, and cultural exchange and how local communities continue to protect its legacy today.
