The 2026 WBC will forever be one of the greatest sports memories of my life. As I begin to reflect on the tournament, I’m flooded with gratitude. The baseball was some of the best I’ve ever seen, but the people behind the flags are what make this my favorite sporting event in the world. People who love the game, their country, their culture, and other people. Over the last few weeks, I’ve met so many new people from across the globe who I now call friends. And through hundreds of meaningful conversations, I have learned so much about the diverse life experiences around the world. To all the people who I met, and who have given me deeper perspective on life: thank you. I have been in love with baseball since I could first pick up a bat. I experienced a bit of burn out after playing every year from 4 years old through high school. The WBC made me fall back in love with this sport again. I’m not even sure how to process the last few weeks and all its memories. I’ll try to share as many of them as I can with y’all as time goes on. But for now, I’ll leave it at: Congratulations, Venezuela. The greatest moment in Venezuelan sports history. 🇻🇪 Here’s to the 2026 World Baseball Classic. I already cannot wait for the next one. Baseball is global. 🌎⚾️

My friend @ALFCards95 RAKed me this card for my collection in November. He knew how particular I was with adding to the collection. With his recent passing, it just dawned on me that it never arrived. 1/2

Just so everyone knows the proceeds from this will be going to SAARC. Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center. They provide service for children, teens and adults with autism. This was a group decision because this center has helped some people that are apart of our team. Thank you for the support!!

NFL and NBA seem to be doing pretty good.

Each year, B.A.T. (Baseball Assistance Team) presents The Bobby Murcer Award to the teams in each league whose players raise the most money to assist those in the baseball family who are in need. The 2026 winners are the Los Angeles Angels (AL) and the New York Mets (NL).

MLB runs a program that provides financial assistance to former players & other former baseball officials in need. Each spring, MLB folks tour training camps, inviting donations from players. The AL team whose players contributed the most this spring? The Angels. (The NL? Mets)

@kylerulez Sports with salary caps don’t have the competitive balance that MLB has had this century. Prohibiting players from making the money the market says they’re worth is anti-capitalism

Their problem was mismanagement of their MiLB system & throwing $$ at Pujols, Wilson, Hamilton, & Rendon

@NoahHydro @MLBPA @Brent_Rooker25 No one has even remotely close to the media rights or revenue streams the Dodgers do. Thats how the Dodgers are crushing their competition. The deferrals (which should never exist as a side note) help, but the Angels couldnt field a full team if they paid Ohtani.

Dodgers were the first team to win consecutive WS this century. Now look at leagues w/ salary caps and see how many teams are repeat champs this century or at least made the championship round consecutive years. Salary cap ≠ competitive balance
