Our hat-trick of signings is complete – welcome Niall Watson to Hednesford Town! 🔥⚽ Hednesford Town are delighted to confirm the signing of exciting forward Niall Watson from American side, South Georgia Tormenta, subject to FA and International clearance. Niall, 24, started his career at Accrington Stanley making his professional debut in 2017 before loan moves to Marine, Runcorn and Widnes followed where he scored 20 goals in 25 appearances. A move to Southport followed in 2020 where he really made his mark; a terrific return of 33 goals in 80 starts in the National League North made Niall one of the most coveted attacking players in Non League and subsequently earning a move across the pond to South Georgia Tormenta where he signed a 2 year professional contract. Manager Gavin Hurren moved quickly to secure his services when made aware of his availability and had the following to say ‘’ Niall is a player with bags of talent and fits the profile we are looking to create within the squad. He is a goal scorer and provider and his signing fits perfectly into the blend of youth and experience we are building here at the club.
