RHP Isaac Williams coming to the mound for OU with 2 runners on and 1 out. This is his 6th appearance, holds a 1.50 ERA through 6.0 IP. Has allowed 5 hits, K'd 8, and 0 walks so far.

Much needed swing by Zach Yorke in a HUGE spot and the Tigers finally hit the scoreboard again.

It looks as if Casan Evans is set to come back out for the 8th. Ethan Plog is lightly throwing in the bullpen, but definitely does not appear to be getting ready to start the inning.

Xander Mercurius is giving OU exactly what they needed following Cam Johnson's disaster of a start. He's now through 4.2 innings, blowing past his previous season high of 1.2. He threw 34 pitches in that outing and is up to 58 tonight. Single-handily saving the Sooner bullpen.

This is only the second time through the first 6 innings that LSU did not put the leadoff hitter on base.

Nonetheless, Casan Evans is dominating this OU lineup. He's through 6 innings with 12 Ks and only 2 hits allowed. Only 80 pitches for the sophomore ace.

That's an inexcusable decision by Zach Yorke to try and make that throw. You have 2 outs and Evans is dealing with a 5-0 lead. You've got to put the ball in your pocket, there. Hindsight is 20/20, but Evans promptly struck out OU 3-hole hitter Brendan Brock.

10 Ks for Evans through 5 on only 68 pitches.

I've been watching Steven Milam's glovework for 3 years and it still blows my mind every time he makes a play. It's simply impeccable.

After the quick 5-0 start through 2, LSU singled to start the next two innings, but failed to bring him around to score.

First pitch offspeed to Omar Serna is a good show of respect from Skip Johnson.

Don't let Casan Evans get hot! LaChance was trying to slow down his tempo by talking to the umpire and then staring back at the pitch clock, but Evans strikes him out on a nasty slider anyway and let him hear about it, too.
