A huge thank you to Brewton-Parker Christian University for coming out to evaluate our Freshwater Storm players on Sunday! A 4-year NAIA program in Mt Vernon GA, BP had the #1-ranked NAIA recruiting class in the country on PG for the 25 class. They’ve had 24 players drafted.

While rain may have stopped on field BP we quickly shifted into our brand new indoor facility and continued to grind! We make the most out of everyday here at BPCU! @bpcu_baseball

“Why the small boxes” Sometimes a little grit makes he difference. Pitchers get scared to throw in and miss over the middle and if they do throw in we turn our shoulder and take our base. Team OBP went from .386 (23) to .422 (24) just by being on the plate.

As we make our way into the 2025-26 school year, Brewton-Parker Athletics would you like to inform you all that as of July 1st, 2025 Brewton-Parker has achieved the University status. We will now be known as Brewton-Parker Christian University!

Grant Cochran (@bpc_baseball) was LIGHTS OUT against the Hawks today, tossing a no-hitter in the Sharks’ mercy rule win! Cochran struck out 5 batters and missed barrels the entire start. Grant hasn’t surrendered a run in his last 10 IP. @GrantCochran14

Edward Lyall (‘25, FL) tossed 3 scoreless, no-hit IP. Worked high-80s T90 on FB w/ a barrage of effective secondaries. Lanky 6’5”/170 RHP projects well. Whippy arm action w/ great arm speed. #BCS #BrewtonParker commit

Grant Cochran (@bpc_baseball) tossed a gem against the Hawks! 💎 Cochran used a good fastball and a nasty breaking ball to keep hitters off balance. The big lefty went 5 shutout innings and allowed just 1 hit. @GrantCochran14

Christian Herrington (@bpc_baseball) lowered his ERA to 1.28 in a great showing against the Turtles! Herrington showed great command of his secondary pitches, making hitters look silly with his CH and SL/CUT. Misses bats and rises to the moment on the mound. @Christian_herr2

Alex Blackmon (@GordonStateBSB) worked a scoreless inning out of the ‘pen for the Sharks last night! Blackmon showed off his deceptive submarine delivery and a 3-pitch mix last night, striking out 1 batter in the process. He carries a 2.00 ERA over 9 AP this year. @Alexsehs0024
