I’ve been a part of projects that got great reviews and plenty of projects that got bad reviews. Had projects play the best festivals and projects got rejected by all of them. Here’s the deal: I have a ton of respect for audiences, critics, and programmers, BUT, 99.99% of the people who judge or criticize your art will ever make that art themselves. That’s just the facts. So, if you’re feeling discouraged, I hate to say fuck ‘em, but honestly, fuck ‘em and move on. You’re in the arena.
