When I wrote the lyric "I'll always be chasing for all of my life" in Rainfall, YES it was a reference to my older songs "Star Chaser" and "All of My Life" (the whole bridge is self referential) but it's also just how I live. Always growing, blooming, learning 🌷 I feel like I'm a bit of a restless spirit at times, never satisfied being in one place, always ready and willing to be swept away by the wind 🎐 Always striving for higher heights! I never considered myself an ambitious person (btw I think I learned the word "ambitious" from The Sims or something as a kid lol) but maybe I am? I've always had big dreams, at least. And the chances of my dreams coming true are non-zero, so I'm always gonna do what I can and strive towards them! 💪 But, sometimes, I do think it would be nice just to breathe and just be. I want to be held gently (I can hold myself, too 🙂‍↕️) and to be told that I'm enough as I am already, too. I want to just stop and feel the wind caress my cheek softly, sometimes 🤍 without being rushed into the next chase. And, yet, knowing myself, I'll just keep jumping into things heart-first (and I'll put my whole booty into it while I'm at it lol). I'm trying to cherish the present more, though!!! I promise, I'm trying 🫨 Anyway the next few months will be extra crazy. I'll do my best!
