It's an incredible accomplishment for the @DSHSJackets athletes to have broken 2️⃣6️⃣2️⃣ PRs at the inaugural Lift-a-Palooza! We can’t wait to see this relentless spirit transition to the field, court, or platform. Stay tuned the next 7 days as we release more data by sport!

Luckily our sports & DSAA banded together to purchase new benches that’ll be here by the start of school but we need racks and other various items to help us continue to build the best facilities in the state. To those that have already donated we can’t thank you enough!

We see a full range of motion squat here at 225lb. Before the second rep is attempted we also see a complete “brace” of the lifters core. This is crucial for stability, injury prevention, and efficient force transfer. 🧵 3/4

Where the front squat develops the anterior kinetic chain more than the back squat. The back squat requires more posterior chain recruitment than the front squat and will develop the glutes and hamstrings slightly more than the front squat. 🧵 2/4

Today on back squat our female athletes worked up a 90% single + a single if they were feeling fresh still. Here we believe in different unilateral and bilateral forms of squat with our main bilateral movements being front squat and back squat. 🧵 1/4

Welcome Coach Chyanne Ellet Chyanne was an assistant coach for Ascension Christian for 2 years. She completed her college career as a pitcher for Southeastern Louisiana University. She was 3x all state and 2x district MVP at Brownwood HS where she also holds the strikeout record.
