Again, we build up to the National REFspect awareness weekends. To start it off, we begin on the 12th April with the Vertu Trophy Final between Luton V Stockport, then followed by the Premier League on the 18th, 19th, 25th, and 26th. These will include any Monday or Friday night fixtures, the PFA, and PGMO, including football's governing bodies, who are supporting the referees and children at grassroots football. Once again, this weekend, and every weekend, please begin your support. Referees are hard to come by. Our young referees are developing and learning too; do not chase them away from the game.#REFspect. Have a great weekend.

We are almost there with the National REFspect awareness weekends. Please make these extra special by continuing to support your referee on and off the field of play. Leave the referees to officiate on their own and just let the kids play.Thank You

Enjoy today, at grassroots football, this is a game for the kids to develop their skills, and enjoy PLAYING, No need for irate parents or spectators to ruin it for them, the game does not require unqualified, sideline referees making decisions throughout the game, or unqualified sideline coaches turning their heads and organising their positions and confusing them. Let the children play, and leave the referees to officiate.#REFspect.

With the grassroots national REFspect awareness over the weekends of the 12th,18th and 25th April, we ask all spectators, managers/coaches, and parents, throughout this weekend at kids' football, to participate with respect, and use our DXTL REF Plan, Refspect, Encouragement, Friendship, by using this over this weekend and beyond, then, grassroots football will be a better place to be at.

When you see children trying to stop their parents from fighting at a grassroots game, it tells you everything you need to know about the minority of irate parents and spectators at weekend games. What is it doing to our children's mental health? And why would a referee want to put themselves in the middle of that? At your weekend game, THINK! of this when you attend your fixture. Support and encouragement are essential to the game; bring them with you. It is all about the kids, not the Adults. Stay away from the games. If you are irate and cannot control your temper, be positive. Have a great weekend at grassroots football, we know that the majority of you will.
