A Paradise for Parents
A Paradise for Parents@HalCranmer·
Classic signs of brain fog: > Your thoughts feel "muddy" > Focus drops off once it hits noon > Mood tanks alongside mental clarity > Simple decisions feel weirdly exhausting > Brain often feels like it's running on 4% battery > Can't hold a single thought long enough to finish it > Feeling fatigued after meals (cytokines are somnogenic) > Everything just feels… slow
Charlatan@SaluteToGod

@HalCranmer This may be a silly question but how exactly do you see brain fog? What does it entail on a day to day

I worked on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's research ... starting from worms, to mice and finally humans for 20+ years ... I am hopeful for this one ... hear me out.🙂 And yes ... this is something I always say ... mice do not always translate to humans... same in cancer too because mice ARE more resilient to Alzheimer's. In the lab, we create transgenic mice to induce Alzheimer's. HOWEVER ... this one is unique. I have been going around the theory and the lab's background papers ... the theory is not based on Alzheimer's development in mice. It is based on reversal biology. And the reersal strategy is SUPER SOLID. I am right now writing a booklet to help my substack subscribers ... focusing on this theory and exploring how to do this naturally without a drug to maintain better cognitive functions. And the more I read and understand I am so hopeful for this one. But usually I do think the same way as you do.

BREAKING: For the first time in 100+ years, Alzheimer's may not be permanent Scientists just reversed advanced Alzheimer's in mice by restoring brain energy balance, eliminating both plaques AND cognitive decline The drug worked in two different animal models, suggesting "this could translate to humans". Game-changing!! sciencedaily.com/releases/2025/… cell.com/cell-reports-m…

Also, I did not focus on this angle because it's still in the talks, but ... This has already been done on primates, too. Small group but ... Researchers found that daily oral administration of P7C3-A20 significantly increased the survival of newborn neurons in the hippocampus. And the lead researcher, Dr. Andrew Pieper, is looking into clinical trials through a company called Glengary Brain Health.

🤖 Robots in the Bedroom: The Next 5 Years of Family Caregiving We are currently witnessing a quiet but profound migration. It is not a movement of people, but of shifting of intelligence. Specifically, the transition of sophisticated robotics from the sterile factory floors to the intimate corners of the family home. As we grapple with the “caregiving crisis in America” (and beyond), we must move beyond the doom-and-gloom narratives and recognize that the next five years will be defined by a new teammate in the caregiving journey – the robot. cc: @elonmusk Click here to read: dailycaring.com/robots-and-car…

I don’t understand why the neighbor felt it to be his concern, maybe he has other motives in place. 🤨🤔. He should be happy that the neighborhood is getting cleaned up.

Latest video: Is it Normal Aging or is it a Medical Issue I Need to Take Care of? In this video, we tackle one of the most stressful questions for any family caregiver: Is this change a normal part of aging, or is it a medical red flag I need to address right now? We know that worry is often the loudest sound in a caregiver's home, especially at 3 a.m. We’ll help you "worry smarter" by breaking down four key areas - sleep, bladder health, falls, and skin—and giving you clear, practical ways to tell the difference between typical age-related shifts and signs that require an immediate call to the doctor. youtube.com/watch?v=gT14kg…

The science is clear, lifestyle interventions can protect brain health and lower dementia risk. 🧠 That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of the Alzheimer’s Association Brain Health Roundtable. The Roundtable brings together leaders from health systems, disease‑specific organizations, employer coalitions, public health groups and other partners committed to advancing brain health nationwide. Through collaboration, the coalition will identify shared priorities, align strategies and translate emerging science on risk reduction into meaningful action. The Association is dedicated to making brain health a public health priority. We look forward to working with Roundtable members to ensure individuals across all communities have access to clear, actionable information to support lifelong brain health.
