This film was a wannabe Twilight/Chronicle of that era & it just sucked the fun out of 2/3 of the film. It has its cool moments, but I think the filmmakers had the easiest job possible of just going back to the roots of Power Rangers/Super Sentai Zyuranger & they squandered it.

The failure of the 2017 Power Rangers movie will never not hurt and it seemed like it had everything going for it. - A favorable release date with Fate of the Furious not releasing until 3 weeks later. - A very reasonable 100 million dollar budget - Good trailers and a good marketing strategy - A cool update for modern audiences and the new generation. Yet when the movie released, almost no one was interested; not even the toy line sold well. I’ll never understand why.

Got my ticket to TADC: The Last Act. I cannot wait to see if my packed screening will be millennial/genz adults completely locked in for the story & characters or if it will be a bunch of children yelling & screaming when X-plot thing happens while the parents sit there confused.

Looks okay. At least the animation is more his style and isn’t just copy/paste from the previous skydance animated movies. That being said I don’t see this being his magnum opus worthy of abdicating the Incredibles 3 director’s chair.
