Iceyen ensimmäinen satelliitti on palaamassa ilmakehään seuraavan parin vuorokauden aikana. X-1 laukaistiin alkuvuonna 2018 ja sen jälkeen yritys on laukaissut parikymmentä uutta satelliittia. X-1 oli käytössä vain noin puoli vuotta, mutta siitä yrityksen menestystarina alkoi.

Farewell ICEYE-X1 - you started a revolution down here and proved it was possible to make a fine resolution small SAR satellite. 🫡 Now who won the bet on when this would come down @ICEYEfi ?

@DarrenMuff @ICEYEfi I watched it being launched. It’s fantastic that it has been followed by so many more. Here it is, ready to go, 14 hours before launch on 11/1/2018:

Can’t believe how over-enthusiastic I get talking about nerdy stuff - sorry (But gotta admit that satellite+RADAR+earth-observation is pretty cool) 🛰️+📟+🌎=😎

What makes ICEYE’s Dwell a revolutionary capability? It collects images over an unprecedented 25 seconds, packing more critical information about objects and their movements into a single image. Watch our video with @DarrenMuff & John Cartwright to learn more about the product.

@mouthofmorrison Also big Kudos to @umbraspace for saying 16cm resolution (on the ground) rather than embellishing and saying the slant range is 12.5cm. Way more useful. Thanks for leading the way with integrity.

How many very’s are we supposed to put in front of our 16cm data in the official product guide and price table?

Still a bit cringy hearing my own voice …. But the imagery is cool. Thanks for helping me try and explain this @ICEYEfi

#NeverMissAThing: In this video, @DarrenMuff delves deeper into ICEYE's Dwell Mode, focusing on its enhanced image quality. He explains how we achieve highly-reduced speckle and shows a wealth of additional insights that might have gone unnoticed without Dwell.

I asked the team if they could help me to explain why it makes such an amazing difference when our satellites stare at a location for a really long time. I still find this amazing and it wasn't something that I fully appreciated when we started flying the satellites in odd ways.

Our newest imaging product – Dwell – is especially useful for defense and intelligence, enabling analysts to detect and classify aircraft more confidently, thanks to enhanced image quality. Listen to ICEYE's @DarrenMuff diving into one of the key benefits of the Dwell product.

Maanmittauslaitos@Maanmittaus

☀️ Auringon aktiivisuus vaihtelee 11 vuoden sykleissä. Aktiivisuudella on vaikutuksia mm. satelliittien toimintaan ja satelliittipaikannukseen. maanmittauslaitos.fi/ajankohtaista/… #paikkatieto #paikannus #sateliittipaikannus

Checkout our 3 newest children. Hopefully to be launched tonight on Transporter-8. These new kids have a few extra surprises for the SAR community.
ICEYE@iceye_global

It takes a great team to achieve great things! A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making the upcoming Transporter-8 launch possible through hard work and dedication, especially to @EXOLAUNCH, @SpaceX, and of course the global Team ICEYE. Stay tuned for updates! 🚀

@mouthofmorrison @Jack_B_Reid Yea. I’m up for that. Commercial SAR will have to learn to deal with this anyhow. As we all expand to fill the X-Band ITU allocation of 1.2GHz, we will all have the same centre frequency. So if we don’t cooperate, we could all jam each other.

@Jack_B_Reid You mean coherence? People task us with *very* precise tolerance for grazing angle, ascending/descending node, look direction etc, which makes me think they believe that’s possible. I would love to try it with another provider. @DarrenMuff would it be too cozy to try sometime?

Had a question pop into my head during morning run. With the increasing number of #SAR satellites, is there any possibility for interference with one another if they line up right (/ wrong)? Spatial probability too small? Sufficiently different bands? @mouthofmorrison?
