A Christian and self identified conservative Igbo man has been posting denigrating tweets about Yoruba women as far back as 2012, completely unprovoked. That is not banter. It is outright bigotry. This is exactly where the problem lies with many of you who build your tribal narratives and unity on Yoruba hate. The consistent spread of stereotypes about Yoruba women, even as far back as 2012, says a lot. @SirHenry_ what exactly did Yoruba women do to deserve such dehumanising slurs from you?

Nysc is experiencing low registration because 1. people are starting to value their lives more. 2. It's super expensive. 3. No guaranteed job afterwards. 4. Most are already switching to getting skills instead of getting killed. Love it for everyone that is boycotting. 💜🤲🏾

There's this lady I usually text, but she takes forever to reply .. Sometimes a whole week. And when she finally does, it's always one excuse or the other. Meanwhile, she's always active, posting on her WhatsApp. Last week Monday, she suddenly texted me for something urgent. I saw the notification pop up and I ignored it. I was online too, even posting on my status. Fast forward to today… she has blocked me on WhatsApp 😂🤣 People can't take what they dish out.

You're a product of an interethnic marriage, you hate your father's side and won't stop casting aspersion on them but you still want to lead those same people on your father's side. You also won't reside and/or seek opportunities in your mother's side whom you love so much. 🤡

While we are calling out stereotyping, this needs to be said. Funke Akindele’s Aiyetoro Town and the Jenifa series have, over time, reinforced the image of Yorubas as razz, uneducated, and unable to speak proper English. The impact is real, and it will take time to undo. At least Jenifa was just one character. Aiyetoro presents an entire town as uncouth. Look at how the world embraced Wakanda and even thought it was real. That is the same way some people now view Yoruba communities because of portrayals like Aiyetoro. Some people got Wakanda. We got Aiyetoro.

I never grew up hearing my dad say I love you. The first time I told him those words, I was already married. I was in my thirties. He replied with a funny, almost sarcastic answer, because it felt strange to him. That was not how his generation spoke. But something changed over time. After he retired, my dad became that soft man who hugs me and kisses my forehead. Now, with my own children, I say I love you many times a day. It ends most of our conversations. They heard it even before they could fully understand it. This is one small way I have chosen to improve the story. The words we never heard, our children will hear often ~ Banky W

Police officers tried to seize a lady’s phone and ended up beating a man as well. How long will this continue? At this point, are these really officers of the Nigeria Police Force or just people hiding behind uniforms? I refuse to believe this is what policing should look like. The same people meant to protect citizens are now the ones causing fear. This cannot keep happening. @PoliceNG @PoliceNG_CRU

Only him had used deep poverty to cure problems Fuel queues — gone. because he took fuel drive from 160 to 1400 in just 3 years. Let’s see if your father can afford it let alone queue for it ASUU strikes — gone. He captured the agency, dissolved all bodies, took away educational fundings. Within 3 years, most schools had more than 300% increase in school fees. Poor man dropping from school. Yet no one could speak for them because he destroyed all the agencies that can speak before hitting them with pain State bankruptcies — Worsening. We just kept borrowing more and more WITH NO RESULT. Before, if govt borrows, they’ll try to do something for citizens before stealing the rest. This one steals with impunity. Award 3.3 trillion to power (the same) project 3 times in 3 years with nothing better. Electricity — people now pay more than 300% increase for the same uselessness. An average Nigeria can’t even guarantee a 12 hour electricity in a day. With all the money said to have been pumped in this sector. This is a big shame. Insecurity — Worse than ever before. Now police don’t even interfere in kidnapping again. They just ask you to pay ransom. Private sector exits — Worsened. Almost all companies had exited Nigeria NGX decline — Naira had gone all time low. He took it from about 400 to 1400. More than 300% decrease Food inflation — so bad than a Tiber of yam has to be cut in slices for Nigerians to be able to afford it. I didn’t even know how much of a failure this man is until I realized you didn’t even have anything good he did to campaign. This is the Worst President ever in the history of Nigeria. We all should be angry and ensure he doesn’t see that sit again
Osas@osazenoo

Only he has shown the will to tackle problems that lingered for decades and the results are beginning to speak. Fuel queues — gone. ASUU strikes — gone. State bankruptcies — easing. Subsidy wastage — eliminated. Electricity — being decentralized. Insecurity — state policing in motion. Private sector exits — reversing. NGX decline — stabilizing. Crude oil output — improving. Food inflation — trending downward. It’s not just promises anymore; it’s visible shifts across critical sectors.

I was sexually assaulted today inside the bus by an unknown lady. We all know how commercial buses can be, a bit tight and uncomfortable. So there I was, sitting beside this young lady and because the bus was tight, our bodies were brushing off on each other.. At some point I felt her boobs rubbing off the back of my arm, I didn’t really read any meaning to it cos these things can mistakenly happen when you are in a tight space with someone like that. But it started feeling like the boobs were consciously touching my arm. Not long after that I started feeling her breathe a little harder and each time I try to move my arm away from her boobs, she leans forward for them to continue making contact. She started moving funny in a non-noticeable sexual way. I felt so uncomfortable but I just didn’t wanna make a scene. It went on for a while till I was forced to get down at somewhere that wasn’t even my bus stop. I just can’t stop shaking. I feel violated and when I close my eyes the whole scenario just plays at the back of my head. I think I’ll need therapy.

When Odunlade Adekola paid a visit to OONI AGBAYE and expressed his concern about the limited number of cinemas in Nigeria. In response, OONIRISA assured him that steps would be taken😊. Today, that vision has become reality, as Kabiesi now boasts a growing network of cinemas across Nigeria, an enduring testament to foresight, commitment, and purposeful leadership👑❤️.
