Pope Leo XIV has been named the most influential leader in the world by Time Magazine.

Since October 2025, Cocoa Farmers have not been paid for their cocoa beans. They are owed over GHc6billion since the government slashed their per bag price. But yeah, economy is doing fine!!!

In a stirring message to thousands of young people gathered in Cameroon, Pope Leo XIV calls Africa’s youth to rediscover their identity as “beloved children” of the continent and brothers and sisters of Christ. He urges them to resist the temptations of corruption, violence, and quick gain, which he warns ultimately destroy dignity and dull the heart. While acknowledging the challenges of both material and spiritual poverty, the Pope insists that the continent’s deepest wealth lies not in its land but in its enduring values—faith, family, hospitality, and hard work—and calls on young people to become active architects of the future through their God-given vocation.

You can tell Pope Leo is really feeling the love of Cameroon’s young people. At the end of his visit to the Catholic University of Central Africa in Yaoundé, he paused before getting into his vehicle to greet the crowd, while his security team did an excellent job keeping everyone safe and contained.

On his fourth day in Africa, Pope Leo traveled from Yaoundé to Bamenda in Cameroon for a day dedicated to justice and peace. After being welcomed by local authorities, the pope proceeded to the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Bamenda for an encounter for peace with the local community. Pope Leo later made his way to Bamenda airport, greeting pilgrims from the popemobile.
