RESPECT FOR WOMEN??? I continue to call upon my opponent to publicly denounce the disgusting, disrespectful, and misogynistic remarks of our Council President to an innocent, older female citizen who was trying to speak at the last Council meeting on October 18. For @DebWhitfield to sit-by silently and allow this to occur is bad enough. But to not even ISSUE A RESPONSE at least expressing disappointment, is even worse. It's a complete and total lack of leadership by any standard. The next Council meeting is this Monday, November 6. Please, Councilor Whitfield and ALL Lawrence Councilors, do the right thing and take a stand - tell our community that President Giles' continued offensive behavior is not OK and not reflective of the values of our Lawrence elected officials.
