@Hasen_Judi C#/ F# (.net) don’t. You have value types via the `struct` keyword/ attribute. Very cool.

I can't stress enough the importance of having value types in a programming language. It is one of Go's best feature that structs have value semantics. All other GCed languages have Java-like reference only semantics for objects. Huge mistake.

@ijrussell @raimeyuu I think there is a misunderstanding in this discussion. The question is about how to enforce data invariants. Basically the same goal as OO encapsualtion, regardless of (im)mutability. Example invariant: a data type for a person including age; age must be at least 0.
