“There were no sinless Bible heroes except Jesus Himself; even the great heroes of the faith had moments of mistakes, missteps & miserable failure.” @davidjeremiah
“A righteous man may fall seven times and rise again.”
Prov. 24:16
I am grateful for and wholeheartedly affirm Christian zeal to care for children in the womb through the political process. Let’s match it with Christian zeal to care for women with unwanted pregnancies and to foster and/or adopt vulnerable children in our homes.
Instead of closing our eyes and bowing our heads, sometimes God wants us to keep our eyes open for people in need, do something about it, and bow our whole lives to Him instead.
“The gospel is this: We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope.” –Tim Keller
No wonder Jesus said to love God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself are the two greatest commandments. If everyone truly loved like God and each other like that what an unbelievably sweeter, better and LOVElier world it would be.
There are times in life when things are so hard & tough it’s hard to even notice the sun is shining. In those times God is asking “do you trust me or not?” It’s then you remember who you are and whose you are and reply “I trust in you, Lord. I say ‘you are my God.’” Ps. 31:14
