Wichita State baseball goes to one of the hardest places to win in the country and savages a split with a doubleheader sweep on Sunday. Reese Kortum and Brok Eddy combine for 8 2/3 innings, 1 earned run and 12 strikeouts with just 1 walk. Shockers 6-2 to start the season.

Wichita State hit .355 as a team and saw more walks (26) than strikeouts (25). They were also 7-for-7 on stolen bases. Pitching staff finishes with a 1.80 ERA in 30 IP with 41 strikeouts and just 13 walks. Drastic change from last year. Only nitpick was 6 errors fielding.
