These works are written by Park Hye Ryun and this trilogy is an absolute must watch because they’re truly that good and were legendary in their time: - I Can Hear Your Voice - Pinocchio - While You Were Sleeping It makes me really happy to see these dramas still getting praised. Some people say the storytelling is amazing, and others even mention that these are among the best works of Lee Jong Suk 🥹 And honestly, it’s true you have to watch all three of these at least once in your life. Horror is such a polarizing genre and I think this is one reason why the industry finds Salmokji's box office success exceptional. The fact that it maintained a really good audience score (i.e. 89% CGV egg score) through 3 weeks with almost 1.8M audience is also a factor in maintaining the momentum. For films especially, buzz alone is not enough, buzz has to be positive. Otherwise, no one will waste time and money to go theatres.
