Congratulations to the Year 3 archery team who won the Gosforth Gets Going Archery event this morning. We are so proud of you!

Today our art lesson was all about mixing paint to create tints and shades 🎨

In science today we carried out an investigation all about how light allows us to see! 💡

We had a brilliant ceilidh workshop today! We can’t wait for next week 🌟

@SquirrelsHFS and @DeerClassHFS have enjoyed a brilliant dress rehearsal this afternoon, with Key Stage 1 as our audience. We’re looking forward to Monday morning when we are performing for our families and friends. See you on Monday at 9 o’clock!

This week Deer class have been using starburst to learn about the stages of the rock cycle!

In dance, Year 3 have been learning about levels and transitions to create their own animal inspired dances 🌟

Wow! We have been very generously gifted this incredible Kings and Queens timeline. We can’t wait to use this as a resource in history when learning about Queen Victoria and the Tudors 👑

Deer class have been busy writing a non-chronological report today - they loved sharing what they had written with the rest of the class. We even got to share our writing with @SquirrelsHFS

Deer class have been working hard this afternoon to answer questions about nutrition. Each correct answer got them a new food item to place on their plate 🥕🫑🧀

Very proud of all of our Year 3 Reading Ambassadors this morning. They’ve been busy sharing their love of stories 📕🌟

We had so much fun taking part in the @britishlibrary Step Inside Your Story event and discovering our sparks! ⚡️🌟💚

Later this morning, all of Year 3 will be taking part in an online workshop with the British Library. We will hear from a number of authors and discover that anyone can be a writer! #Inspiration #aspiration #excited
