The soil in Doylestown PA is not frozen and there is no ice cover on top of the turfgrass. Turf encased in solid ice for an extended period of time can die. @DelVal

🎥 Saucon Valley CC has hosted 7 @USGA championships w/ this Ideal 50, designed in 1948! They still use it, TO THIS DAY! They recently purchased 2 sets of @SIPGrinders1902 reel & bedknife grinders to update their 2 shops. Really, REALLY awesome couple of days w/ the guys!

Lots of chocolate today at the Northeast Weed Science Society conference in Hershey PA at the historic Hershey Hotel. This is a conference where scientists share their research with weeds and their control.

Congrats to '25 graduate Andrew Schneider on becoming the head field manager for the Binghamton @RumblePoniesBB AA baseball team which is an affiliate of the NY Mets. Andrew was a catcher for the @DVUAggies and studied turf @DelVal milb.com/binghamton/tea…

2020 graduate Nate Frick recently accepted the head superintendent position at Youngstown CC in OH. Nate played 4 years of golf @DVUAggies and majored in turf. It's rewarding to see a former student and golfer of mine reach their career goal. @DelVal @Nature_nateF
