Fans of the Buffalo Sabres hockey team finished singing the Canadian national anthem after the singer’s mic failed on Tuesday at an NHL playoff game against the Boston Bruins. The Buffalo Sabres have a large Canadian fan base, as Buffalo is around five miles away from the U.S.-Canada border.

Pierre Poilievre took it there! "State-controlled, crony capitalism is how this Liberal Prime Minister enriched himself. In fact, his Brookfield investments profit off government favors that typically help a tiny group of politically powerful, but unproductive takers at the expense of the great mass of productive makers." 🔥

🚨 Arrested again: @FrancesWiddows1 handcuffed at Lethbridge University for challenging residential school claims The former professor was peacefully engaging students in discussion about the false Kamloops 215 unmarked residential school graves claim when arrested, with fallout seeing a $150,000 donation to the school pulled over free expression concerns. What Dr. Frances Widdowson says was meant to be a quiet conversation over coffee with willing University of Lethbridge students this past Saturday ended with her handcuffed and detained in a police paddy wagon instead. The former University of Calgary professor and outspoken advocate for academic freedom was arrested while attempting to engage students in discussion about the widely-circulated-but-false claim that 215 children were discovered in unmarked graves at the Kamloops Indian Residential School back in 2021. Despite the narrative being repeated by political leaders, media outlets and academic institutions, no bodies have been publicly confirmed as recovered to date. According to Widdowson, her intent was deliberately restrained. “I wanted to go and do the most low-key thing that I could possibly imagine, which would be having a coffee with a student or students or the public,” she said, explaining she avoided publicizing her visit in an effort to prevent confrontation. But before she could carry out that conversation, the university’s faculty association circulated an internal alert deeming her presence as a “clear health and safety risk” to this workplace. Despite describing the interaction as a “really great conversation” with a student, campus security moved in and enforced a trespass order. This time, unlike previous encounters, Widdowson says she was placed in handcuffs. “In this case, there was nothing that was going on and there’s almost no people there. And then they put me in handcuffs,” she said, noting the escalation compared to earlier arrests where authorities cited large, volatile crowds. This marks Widdowson’s fourth arrest tied to her ongoing efforts to challenge the politically protected narrative surrounding nefarious residential school grave claims. Her critics label her work as “residential school denialism,” while supporters argue she is pushing for evidence-based inquiry into a matter that has negatively shaped national policy, public sentiment and funding decisions. Widdowson maintains the real issue is not her, but the suppression of open dialogue on Canadian campuses, and the violent mob of activists and students that sometimes respond to it. “If I’d wanted to be confrontational, I would have been much more in your face about what I was doing,” she said. “But I was trying to just have the low-key, quiet conversations.” The fallout from her latest arrest is already being felt beyond campus grounds. After learning of the incident, University of Lethbridge alumnus Kevin Gaudet reportedly withdrew a planned $150,000 donation to the school’s athletic department, citing concerns over the institution’s handling of free expression. @DreaHumphrey

Of course they are…this poor woman has been through enough. Imagine being raked over the coals for literally doing your job and investigating unusually high infant deaths. INFANTS.

🚨BREAKING: Ottawa Police command officers pushing new internal charges against Detective Helen Grus over documentary appearance. Two highly placed sources, neither of them Detective Grus nor anyone on her legal team, advise this reporter that @OttawaPolice command has held two meetings in April concerning Grus’s appearance in the coming major documentary Silencing Detective Grus, as well as other online shows and news media. I am satisfied the information is credible. One of these same sources told me in September 2022 that Grus would soon be unsuspended and ordered back to work at the Robbery Squad. That was two weeks before Grus or her lawyer were informed. The source was correct. Now I am told Ottawa Police command officers are divided. Some are pushing new internal disciplinary charges against Detective Grus. Others are advising OPS to leave the situation alone. More to come.

The Liberal Government just shut down the Veterans Affairs Committee to avoid being accountable to veterans for the $4 Billion they are cutting from services for veterans. Chapter 20 para 102 of the Parliamentary Standing Orders and Procedures clearly states: “The committee Chair cannot adjourn the meeting without the consent of a majority of the members”. Yet that is exactly what the Liberals did today at the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs. The second the Liberals got their majority they have been shutting down Parliamentary Committees which are in place to hold the government accountable. Canadians should watch closely to see the Liberals’ true colours. The moment they don’t need veterans, they shut them out and cast them aside.

I'm confused. Is Turkey an ally of the United States or an ally of the terrorist Islamic Republic? Do other NATO members behave like this as well?

What happened in Buffalo last night shows the 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 relationship between our people is bigger than any politician who tries to divide us for political gain and it will endure long after those politicians are gone because of geography, mutual benefit, respect, and family! #cdnpoli

🔥👀 INSANE…. LEFTIST JUDGE GRANTS KILLER OF 16 A TEMPORARY STAY FROM DEPORTATION TO INDIA FOR PTSD. YOU’VE GOT TO BE FN KIDDING ME.. This guy Jaskirat Singh Sidhu ALREADY only served 4 years before being given parole. These judges HATE THEIR CITIZENS. He caused the 2018 Humboldt Broncos hockey team crash killing 16 people. These were YOUNG LIVES. He was originally Sentenced to 8 years (WHICH IS ALREADY NOTHING) & served only 4 years before the Parole Board of Canada granted him full parole in 2023. Now he’s fighting deportation to India. Federal Court Justice Jocelyne Gagné just gave him a temporary stay citing mental health risks like PTSD… how about the PTSD YOU ARE giving these families LADY. Of course Trudeau was the one who elevated the judge years back.
