FINAL: Kentucky 6, Alabama 4. The Cats complete the sweep to begin SEC play. Nate Harris was outstanding through his first six innings, and despite the game getting tight in the seventh, the bullpen came up with enough big outs to stave off the Alabama comeback.

END 8 | UK 6, Alabama 4. Nile Adcock is coming in for the save attempt. He'll face the top of the Alabama order.

Massive insurance run for the Cats in the 8th. Tharnish hit a chopper over the third baseman's head for a double and then Lawrence drives him in with a double. UK leads 6-4 with one out.

Man, UK's staff has come up with some clutch strikeouts this weekend. Austin strikes out two to keep the Wildcats in front.

Ira Austin in for Kentucky. Jackson Soucie allowed a single and threw a wild pitch, and an error by third baseman Tyler Cerny has put runners on the corners with one out.

Alabama scores four runs in the top of the 7th. Hunter strands the tying run at third. UK leads 5-4 as we head to the seventh inning stretch.

Call is overturned and the runner is called safe. It's 5-3. Crimson Tide star Justin Lebron is up as the go-ahead run.

Tristan Hunter struck out the first two batters he faced with the bases loaded, but Bryce Fowler hit a liner into left field that scored a run. But Campbell cuts down Plattner at the plate to end the inning. Play is under review.

Alabama has loaded the bases with no outs in the 7th. Tying run is at the plate.

That'll do it for Nate Harris after a double and HBP begins the 7th. Ryan Mullan is coming in for him. Scott Campbell Jr. will replace Carson Hansen in left field.

An ovation from the KPP crowd as Nate Harris' no-hit bid comes to an end to start the 7th. Would've been hard for him to go the distance today after starting the inning with 88 pitches, but a strong start so far regardless.

Can't imagine that's what Alabama's coaching staff was looking for. The top of the Crimson Tide's order goes three-up, three-down in just four pitches. Nate Harris will surely head back out for the 7th inning.

Kentucky tacks on two more runs in the bottom of the 5th and leads 5-0. Harris is back out for another inning of work.
