@dobssi My experience of working in different European countries is that everyone thinks:
1) they have the worst bureaucracy
2) their train system is awful
Conversely every country's meat is packaged 'Made in X' as if every other country's meat was dodgy, but not theirs, oh no
Been doing a bit of train travel this half term, between Stockholm-London and now back. Kind of an adventure!
Route: Stockholm-Hamburg-Köln-Brussels-London ~24 hours each way sleeper train Stockholm-Hamburg

In about two years time, we'll see the one-millionth @parkrun event delivered*, which is quite remarkable when you think about it. Not participant or finisher, but actual event.

@tomwilliams1974@killianbyrne IKEA's finest 😃 Maybe made in Hungary or somewhere? I'll treat you to some proper Swedish crispbread when I'm next over Killian!
Swedish people, what's the story with these?
Seriously, you've given the world so many things then produce a cracker that tastes like you're eating a used Amazon delivery box.
@Derithomas@tomwilliams1974 Kullamanen has to be the most insane but yet incredible event I’ve ever seen. We hiked the toughest 10km section a while back, with around 750m of ascension it was tough. That was during a lovely summer’s day, they do it at night in autumn 🤟
Ultra advice needed … sitting with Helen, contemplating life over a post-parkrun coffee.
With me turning 50 next month, and her in February, to celebrate that we’re thinking about doing a 100-mile race together next summer.
Any recommendations for something fun, interesting, good to do in a pair, UK-based, and easy to get in to?
An incredible morning (with 100+ participants) at the prospective Monsanto parkrun in Portugal 🇵🇹 It's been amazing to meet David & Raquel and everyone involved in the team. We'll be working hard to make things happen here 🙏🤞#adoroparkrun
In Portugal and love parkrun? This Friday and Saturday @Derithomas will be in Lisbon, checking out venues, meeting prospective volunteers, and joining in with an existing 5k in Monsanto Park 🇵🇹

The never-ending matter of the problems of athletics:
The Seoul Marathon is a PLATINUM World Athletics Label Road Race...so why are the results still not avaible five days after the race?
@LBC@mrjamesob Hearing @mrjamesob on the radio in the morning, I can honestly say would be one of my worst nightmares. What a despicable presenter. I hope I never have to listen to him again.
"The scale of hypocrisy on display today is absolutely nuclear, but here we are."
@mrjamesob gives his analysis of why more than 50 ‘furious’ MPs have called for Lindsay Hoyle to quit as Speaker after Gaza vote chaos.
