I’m making a single-player bodycam revenge FPS inspired by 90s Hong Kong action cinema You play as a woman who escapes captivity and comes back for revenge It’s called Better Than Dead and it’s almost ready for release

@DevGallo looks great! Hard boiled is one of my fav movies. From a AAA accessibility devs POV, a disable camera shake option would be something many players would love too see if you don't already have it as an option!

One thing I underestimated when I started making a game set in Hong Kong was how hard it is, as a non-native speaker, to make signs look believable instead of just random characters. I tried different methods, and every time I realized something was off. Some textures I redid 3 or 4 times already... and I’ll probably redo them again. BTD won’t be perfect in that regard, but I really did my best to make as few mistakes as possible. Most of all, thanks to the people from Hong Kong in my Discord who helped me refine this part of the game.

@Jayfuz Yes, a few people tried it on Deck during the playtest and it worked. But I’m developing it mainly with mouse and keyboard in mind, so it’s not fully optimized for Deck yet.

From the start, I wanted every level in Better Than Dead to feel like its own Hong Kong action set. It’s my tribute to the films I loved growing up and the iconic shootout scenes that stayed with me over the years. So of course there had to be a harbor level.
