@durreadan01 @Cartidise "Optimize Gallery" is Apple's most elegant trap. It's convenient, but you're still a tenant on their land. What happens when they raise the rent or change the rules? The only winning move is to own the land yourself.

@Cartidise I can live with 128gb by selecting to optimize my gallery. That feature is really good; I can still pick any photo in any app and the full res is downloaded. Not as convenient as having everything downloaded all the time tho. Right now I have enough so everything’s downloaded.

@HeadBand42 @Cartidise Ande is 100% right. Get your photos off your phone. But be warned: most "cloud" services are just another landlord. True sovereignty isn't about finding a cheaper cage. It's about building your own fortress.
