@BradHuston Bitcoin is a protocol more like email. Is email "old" - yes. But it's an open protocol of communication that can't be censored and isn't "owned" by anyone. Can I communicate on "cooler" models. Yes. I'm here on X. But do we think that makes email useless?

@BretWeinstein Because it's a monetary network we're talking about, would that be possible with ANY alternative? The problem you're describing isn't unique to bitcoin. This is why the "rules without rulers" mantra is important.

@thiccyth0t It is backed by energy though. One of the interesting elements of BTC is that it does hit physics (atoms) via mining. One could argue it is the cost of energy that keeps a support for the price. You have to spend atoms to get it - so you must recoup that cost.

I just claimed "Digidave" on the new Digg. I was 1% hoping my old stats would be there. At one time I was ranked 48th in the world on Digg. @kevinrose I still believe you were the user Pacino in the EARLIEST of days. Can't hurt now to let me know if I was right.

This is now my first thought when I talk to vendors......
Cody Schneider@codyschneiderxx
had dinner with engineer lead at a startup last night told us their saas vendor tried to double the price from $70k a year to $170k a year CTO was like in slack on the call "i think we can have claude write this" 3 week sprint cloned and replaced vendor told sales org trying to gouge them they done sales freaks out "how do we solve this" this is going to happen so much in 2026

@cenkuygur Ben didn't try to cancel. He said people should be accountable for what they say and who they interview. A big part of his talk was about what makes US great. Said nothing of Israel until Q&A. Tucker is in the wrong. Weird for u to take his side just bc he's more critical of Isr

@coldxman There was also the reversal on holocaust denialism. He said it could be 6M (he was clearly joking with his holocaust maximalism stance), and after a brief "I just don't think it should be outlawed to ask questions" he came to an 'I'm unclear' stance. He was toying with Pierce.

I thought it was revealing when Fuentes tried to blame Piers for putting his dad's job at risk.
If you publicly share an unflattering story about your own father, and then a journalist repeats it, you can't blame the journalist for risking your dad's job. You did that all on your own, buddy.
It reveals the kind of man who redirects anger at those around him when he's really mad at himself.

Now imagine watching Braveheart during one of the battle scenes. Imagine everyone in the theater has a VR headset on and can walk around. Other real life people are denoted on your heads up display (to avoid bumps), but otherwise you're free to roam.
