Well the news is out and I can confirm that after 14 years at NHS Digital, and 23 years in the NHS I will be leaving to take up a senior role in the private sector later this summer. Still in digital health but a huge challenge in a new environment. My reasons for leaving are complex and mixed, as they would always be when leaving after so many years, but I am ready to for the next chapter. I have loved my work, and have had the huge privilege of working with an amazing clinical team. I am so pleased that my direct reports will be stepping up into my role. That makes me feel I’ve done my job well.
