@DjMethodz in partnership with @HullMusicHub is working with youth centres across the city to introduce young people to DJ’ing. The RUN THE TRACK project ended 2025 at Astra Youth Centre.

It starts here! @DjMethodz delivers workshops and projects in communities, at youth centres such as Route One, so that young people who are unable to travel into the city centre can access DJ’ing, equipment and technology. email djmethodz@outlook.com for more info

This is Charlie ‘Bunni’ Hartley who I first encountered at Kingston Youth Centre in 2018. I didn’t see him again until this year when he started to attend my sessions at The Warren. Here he is bustin’ out his recent Christmas set, and a shot from back in 2018 at KYC.

A group of young DJs came together over the weekend for a one-off workshop at @HullMusicHub AlbemarleMusic Centre. We opened 2 rooms so DJs could try out the industry-standard Pioneer CDJs in one room, and have a go on the Denon media players in room two.

A couple of young women DJs I teach will be performing at the Creative Voice Festival next Wednesday afternoon, Princes Quay 3rd Floor, 12.30-1.30pm.

This week saw the completion of a 2nd project with St. Nicholas Primary School’s SEND pupils. Using different types of equipment allows learning DJs to explore their creativity and experiment with a range of FX and functions.

@DjMethodz offers lessons, workshops and projects across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire During school holidays, one-off workshops such as this one at Driffield Youth Action are a great opportunity for young people to have a go at DJ’ing, learn some skills and make new friends.
