1/3 Bill Gates-funded lab, breeds 30 million mosquitoes a week for release in 11 countries‼️ Scientists work in sweltering laboratories in Medellin, breeding 30 million genetically modified mosquitoes each week. The insects grow from larvae to pupae and adults, -🙏👇

@adamcifu Might be a new edition, but the stock photos on the cover show two different version of a Sprague rappaport stethoscope- I haven't been able to find one for at least 10 years.

@rajpadwal @Lpa_Doc Are we really going to attribute all the benefit to the placebo and all the harm to the active compound? Also, I am familiar with the afib data- but haven't seen any data showing more CVAs. Are you just extrapolating?

@Lpa_Doc Agree, it's a tough one. When presented with the data, many patients decline, especially when cost is considered. The ARI for a. fib was 1.4% though wasn't it? So less than 1/30.

Life is full of daily choices, some difficult. Is the 1/30 risk of afib, and possibly stroke, worth it when experts cant decide if effect is real? Suppose all it does is increase your risk of afib/stroke with no benefit? You might just eat more fish until there is more certainty.

If you, your Pt or your loved one has coronary plaque why wouldn’t you use every tool in your toolbox to REDUCE plaque? PCSK9 & Icosapent Ethyl. Aggressively treat the leading cause of death! 💥💥@Drlipid @Lpa_Doc @drpablocorral @SCC_CCS @PeterAttiaMD @BudoffMd @nationallipid

Hypercholesterolemia and hypercholesteremia are both acceptable diagnoses on epic. Are these different? 🤔

I find it fascinating that I have never seen a pretreatment protocol for an iodinated contrast allergy based in actual science and also never seen an iodinated contrast allergic reaction. 🤔

If you’re a doctor on this site trashing the physical exam, you didn’t spend enough time learning the physical exam. I said what I said.

@UChiPritzker is pulling out of USNWR Medical School rankings too. The right move. Thanks for your leadership @FutureDocs and Dean Mark Anderson.

Do physicians realize the financial hardship they impose on many of their patients when they discharge them on Eliquis instead of Coumadin purely for the sake of their own convenience? The cost can literally drive some of the more vulnerable patients to the ground.
