When Nigerian govt talk say “no be true,” na there you suppose sit down well well, because story never start 😏 Here be 5 clear examples wey follow that same pattern: Fuel Subsidy RemovalDem talk say “subsidy no go comot.” Next thing: “subsidy is gone” on Day 1. Naira Float / DevaluationCBN and govt deny say dem go float naira. Few weeks later, naira free fall enter market. Cashless / Naira Redesign CrisisDem talk say policy na smooth transition. End result: nationwide cash scarcity, chaos everywhere. Electricity Tariff HikeDem deny increase. Next thing, “band adjustment” quietly jack price up. Student Loan PolicyYears of “no plan” talk. Suddenly, rushed rollout without full structure, people still dey find clarity. So as CBN too quick shout “fake” For this country… sometimes na soft launch be that 🚶🏾‍♂️

In South Korea, minimum wage is about ₩10,320 per hour. Work 8 hours a day, that’s ₩82,560. 5 days a week? ₩412,800. 4 weeks? That’s about ₩1,651,200 in a month… and that’s just minimum wage. Not skill-based, not experience-based. Just the baseline. Now come to Nigeria. Minimum wage is ₦70,000 per month. That’s about ₦437.50 per hour, ₦3,500 for 8 hours, and roughly ₦17,500 per week. A whole month… ₦70k. And before someone says “don’t compare,” let’s even look at exchange rate: ₩1,000 ≈ ₦900+. Yes, living expenses in South Korea are high. Rent, food, transport, everything. But here’s the difference: their minimum wage can actually cover it. A young person there can still pay for a small apartment (or shared space), feed themselves properly, handle transport and basic lifestyle and still have some level of independence Now look at Nigeria… ₦70k can’t even get you a decent apartment in most places. You can’t feed properly on it for a month. Transport alone will humble you. Everything is expensive, but income is not matching it. And what’s even more frustrating is that not everybody is even earning that ₦70k. Some people are working full-time jobs and still getting paid below minimum wage. No structure, no enforcement, nothing. So imagine already struggling with ₦70k, then there are people earning even less than that. So it’s not just about comparison anymore. It’s about the fact that even the “minimum” we’re talking about isn’t realistic… and it’s not even guaranteed. Honestly… it’s just sad we have to live like this.

MINIMUM WAGE SHOULD COVER RENT,FOOD, HEALTHCARE AND TRANSPORTATION . IF IT DOESN'T, IT'S NOT A LIVING WAGE.

Bro a room self-con in central mainland is going for 1.5 million naira annually. Minimum wage is 77k naira. Only 2.4% of Nigerians earn above 200k in the cooperate world as salary. A foreign used 2005 Toyota Corolla is going for 8 million naira. A bag of cement is 12k naira. 1k which is our highest currency note can’t get you a meal, also can’t get you a liter of fuel. Pls is this how we will keep adjusting to these mâdness? Because i cannot can anymore. 😤

So you visited him to thank him for visiting you, perhaps he should then visit you to thank you for visiting him and then you guys can continue like till you die
Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, CON@DapoAbiodunCON

Yesterday, I had the honor and privilege to visit and thank the President, @officialABAT, GCFR, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic, for the historic visit to Ogun State to commission the Gateway International Airport, Gateway Airlines, welcome the first cargo airline, and other landmark projects. I presented him with a ceremonial sword in his esteemed capacity as the Jagaban (leader of warriors/conquerors), urging him to continue his war on crime and criminality, anti-corruption, and particularly as he embarks on the second-term re-election, assuring him that in Ogun State, we are solidly behind him.
