Our thoughts are with the friends & family of John “Twinkle” Trenerry. A well-known character in the Cornish #fishing community since the 70’s, he will be missed. A celebration of his life will be held this week at The Bath Inn, Penzance from 3:30pm on 24 March.

We were very sad to hear of the passing of local fisherman David Sales. In 2020 David received a richly-deserved BEM for his services to commercial fishing and the environment. He was very much involved in the establishment of the Lyme Bay Fisheries and Conservation Reserve.

We echo @Dorset_CF words. Dave will be greatly missed. He was an integral part of the #FLAG Board and was key to its success. Our thoughts are with all of the Sales family at this sad time. RIP Dave.

Such sad news. Dave will be sadly missed by all- and very much by me. A mentor during my PhD he taught me how to string up pots, how to fish, was never short of advice & his door was always open for sandwiches after early starts fishing/collecting data. Thoughts with Gill & fam🦞
