And with that, I’m done. It’s been a fun couple of years and I look forward to joining you all wherever we all land.

I know it’s a little late but @AHuang_PharmD did an amazing job with his CE presentation earlier this month! Alex talked about using oral antibiotics for complex infections. Remember, the bacteria don’t know how the antibiotic got there! #rxtwitter #DMCPharmRes @DMC_Heals

@mcbill @covid101 It's hard to know what to do in this situation. For healthcare providers, we would allow her to go back to work, with a mask... If she is truly asymptomatic and your baby is not compromised, I would consider unmasking at day 15ish. But there is little data to guide us.

@DrSnowInBus I know @covid101 hasn’t posted in a while, but had a Q: wife had symptoms 14 days ago. She tested positive for first time 12 days ago. No symptoms in a week. Still testing positive daily on rapid antigen tests. Still important to wear quality mask around our baby?

In that flurry of comparisons, I tried to distract you from the risks of nosocomial transmission, intra-host evolution, re-distribution of resources to care for COVID cases… etc. Seems like some were on to me… like I said, I lost. Maybe that’s why!

So fun participating in this debate/losing it to @HannahImlay. I love to think up, develop, and present ethical arguments about fraught topics in medicine, ID, and transplant. This time, I argued against COVID-19 vaccine mandates for transplant candidates. How’d it go? Well…

Great debate about the role of #CovidVaccine mandates in SOT patients by @HannahImlay @UofUHealth and @KatesOlivia. I realized I may be a unfair hard ass 🤣 @IDWeek2022

FungalDoc: moved to bluesky
Guess who is asking to be a coauthor now? I am not sure she meets the ICMJE criteria, but I just can't say no.

How is it that in the 3rd year CPE (COVID Pandemic Era) we are still saying: "Mute your mike" and "Your slides are not advancing"?

3/ Elevated quits rates may give the Fed pause, however, as that could be a leading indicator for above-trend nominal wage growth. Here's the catch: almost all the quitting happened in "Leisure and Hospitality"

@Boghuma That’s a lot of pus based on the image. If there’s clinical stability and you really can’t get the VATS, I would call it source control and sit tight on my abx.
