Governor Jim Pillen has ordered the deployment of soldiers with the Nebraska National Guard to assist with security in Elkhorn neighborhoods impacted by last weekend’s tornadoes. The personnel were requested by Douglas County officials to deter looting and assist with the management of heavy vehicle traffic in the affected areas. Approximately two dozen soldiers will be deployed through the next two weeks.
