Dubhe is an on-chain app development framework built on Sui. The core idea is simple: you just define your data structures in dubhe.config. ts, run a single dubhe schemagen command, and the framework will automatically generate all the Move code for on-chain storage, so you can focus on writing your business logic. Every on-chain state change will automatically emit events, and the frontend can stay in sync in real time without any extra setup. The Era of Fully On-Chain Games Has Arrived: The Blockchain Is Your Permanent Server! As the #Web3Gaming sector accelerates, blockchains are evolving from mere asset ledgers into fully fledged decentralized execution environments. In this sector, Fully On-Chain Games (FOCG) have attracted significant attention. At their core, FOCGs treat the blockchain itself as a decentralized game server, with all game logic, rules, and state transitions fully encoded in smart contracts and executed autonomously — without reliance on any centralized server operated by a single company. The unique appeal of FOCGs lies in two core properties: permanence and permissionlessness. -Game state is permanently recorded on-chain, enabling theoretically perpetual persistence. -Native composability and open creation: Developers can freely build on a shared world state, while player-generated content (UGC) can be transformed into verifiable, inheritable, and extensible on-chain assets. This goes far beyond the financialization of games, enabling entirely new gameplay paradigms and business models — shifting from consuming content to collectively building persistent worlds. At present, FOCGs still face real-world constraints — most notably cost and real-time performance. While scaling solutions such as sharding and rollups have significantly reduced the cost and improved the speed of on-chain interactions — bringing per-action costs down from roughly $20 in early implementations to just a few cents today — gas fees, latency, and throughput bottlenecks for high-frequency interactions continue to limit fast-paced gameplay. As a result, fully on-chain games are still unable to fully match the responsiveness and smooth user experience of Web2 titles. Consequently, many fully on-chain games today favor slower-paced designs or continue to iterate within dedicated Layer 2 networks or test environments. Meanwhile, developer frameworks purpose-built for on-chain games are rapidly maturing.
