I used to think of @buypowerng as an innovative company that hacked the online sale of prepaid tokens until today. When I noticed they now own BuyPower MFB, I quietly applauded. After almost 30 minutes of waiting for an agent following a failed transaction, I spoke with Funmbi. It was a disaster. She was slow, unhelpful, and had no empathy, and thats how I view Buypower now. I used their web portal to initiate a transaction, transferring funds from my reliable @Sterling_Bankng account. I was debited, but the buyPower app said the transfer failed. I called. Her response was "wait 24 hours, if it does not reverse or you receive a token, you can call back". I said for real? What are my options to get electricity tokens now? I need electricity now, not in 24 hours. "Well, you can try using your bank card and if we receive the money, then you get a token" Funmbi said this in the most casual, irritatingly dismissive tone I have heard in recent times. I asked for her name, username, or code. She said, "My name is Funmbi, no username, no code number" And some of us are dreaming of global call centre jobs coming to Nigeria? Perish the thought. I always call helplines in Nigeria and the experience is usually not far from my buypower experience but today they took it to a new level. The customer is not the king, more like an irritant. Helping is not the goal, and empathy is a rare-earth mineral. Sad. Our workforce development strategy needs a rejig. Osita Chidoka 22 March 2026

Stop dealing with people who have nobody in their life holding them accountable. Those type of people will do you wrong, justify it, and then gather a bunch of other unaccountable mfs to back them up. Next thing you know, you getting gaslit for reacting to THEIR behavior.

Solomon Buchi…. You will explain tire. Just few days ago on Chef T video revert to Islam, you opened you mouth waaaa to make snide comment about Muslims in your generalization. Hence, you can’t exonerate yourself from this. The tribe with the rape culture that we all witnessed few days ago.. Are they Christians? Yes Are they people from the EAST? Yes. Now deal with it. That’s exactly the nonsense you do with Islam and Muslims, you shall be served in your own coin, rubbíşh!!!

The same reason you are struggling to fly across Africa as a Nigerian is the same reason you are struggling to afford to buy a vehicle as a Nigerian. Nigerian regulators and trade enforcement organizations like NCAA, FAAN and Customs think they are revenue generating companies.

I’m currently in SK Seoul, and here, you have to throw out your trash in government-issued prepaid bags. That’s the rule. Two days ago, news broke that the Korean Ministry of Environment had launched an investigation into nationwide inventory after reports showed that bag manufacturers only had a month’s worth of raw materials left. With the Strait of Hormuz facing a potential blockade, the supply of naphtha has tightened, leading to growing concerns over production hiccups for the polyethylene bags made from it. My wife nagged me to go out and buy some in advance, so I just got back from the convenience store. I was curious, so i slipped the clerk a few bucks and asked some questions. "How much has the volume of sales increased compared to usual?" "At least several times over." "Is there enough stock here?" "I’m not sure. The owner told me not to sell more than two bags per person from now on." "Does it seem like ppl are panic-buying after seeing the news?" "Yeah i think so. Just in case i even told my boss and set a few aside for myself." This is happening in a country with the world’s fourth-largest ethylene production capacity. Right now it’s just a minor anecdote tucked away in a corner. But in two weeks, this will be felt everywhere on the planet. By then there won’t be any "nothing’s going to happen" talk or pointless questions. The clock is ticking at this very moment. #oott #iran

BREAKING GOOD NEWS 🔥 Precision Airstrikes Crush Sambisa Enclaves, Scores of Terrorists Eliminated The Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI has recorded a significant operational breakthrough following a series of precision airstrikes that neutralised scores of terrorists in the Sambisa Forest area of Borno State. Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the mission was launched based on credible intelligence indicating heightened insurgent activity around the Parisu axis deep within the forest. At about 9:00 p.m. on March 20, an air asset was deployed to conduct an armed reconnaissance and interdiction operation over the target area. Upon arrival, the platform established visual contact with suspected Boko Haram fighters moving in a coordinated and tactical manner. Further surveillance showed the insurgents converging on a concealed structure camouflaged under dense vegetation. Maintaining persistent overwatch, the aircrew trailed the movement to the hideout and executed a precision strike. The strike was delivered with high accuracy, destroying the structure and neutralising multiple terrorists on site. Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) conducted after the strike revealed that several insurgents fled from adjoining hideouts in disarray, attempting to escape deeper into the forest. Maintaining pressure, the air platform tracked the fleeing elements and conducted a follow-up strike on another identified hideout. The second engagement further degraded the terrorists’ capabilities, destroying additional targets and forcing surviving fighters into chaotic retreat. The sustained air presence and successive precision engagements highlight increasing air dominance, effectively denying terrorists freedom of movement and sanctuary within their enclaves. Military sources added that the operation is part of ongoing, coordinated air and ground offensives aimed at dismantling remaining terrorist strongholds across Sambisa Forest and its surrounding corridors.

The best way you can ever repay your parents is by giving them nothing to worry about when it comes to you. You’re not on drugs, you’re doing the right things, you’re living a healthy lifestyle, you’re taking care of your responsibilities. That’s the best thing you can do ever do for your parents.

As long as your spouse isn't treating you unjustly, there's no better spouse than them out there. Don't be deceived by the aesthetics and whispers of your imagination. That a stranger is kind to you in a way your spouse has never been doesn't make your spouse any less worthy. 👍

You don't see the world as it actually is. You see it exactly as you are. If you're angry, you'll find hostility in every interaction. If you're peaceful, you'll find grace in the chaos, disappointments, and inconveniences.

CAF is in a lot of trouble. Back in 1976, Morocco players walked off the pitch in protest over a refereeing call, then returned, equalised, and finished 1-1. They topped the group with five points & won the tournament. Guinea came second. There is no end in sight for this saga.
