we just shipped a complete overhaul of how progression works on @RemixGG_ here's why we did it, and what it means for players and creators. tldr; it's better. The Problem remix achievements have been a backbone for incentivizing users since day one, but they needed to evolve. there were three main issues: 1. lack of shared progress: achievements were isolated, offering no cohesive player journey across all games 2. unclear rewards: players earned achievements without a rewarding structure to justify their effort 3. no creator incentives: creators need more tools to incentivize and retain gamers for their games. What we Built - A 5-Tier Trophy System we replaced the old 3-tier system with a new 5-tier trophy system based on percentile rankings: - bronze (Top 75%) - 125 XP - silver (Top 50%) - 250 XP - gold (Top 25%) - 375 XP - platinum (Top 5%) - 725 XP - diamond (Top 1%) - 1,575 XP XP as Universal Currency all achievements now reward XP. this will help unify and reward progress and achievements across all of our games, making sure every achievement progress the player journey. Level-Up Rewards that Matter leveling up earns you BITS, our soft currency. why BITS? they're key to future features: bits store: use bits for cosmetics, account upgrades, and more, enhancing your experience. creator achievements: game creators can design unique achievements with custom XP. all achievements boost your progression and rewards. The Vision we're building Remix to be a platform where playing games, creating games, and engaging with the community all feed into a single, meaningful progression system. the old system treated achievements as endpoints. the new system treats them as waypoints on a longer journey. what this means for you for players: your achievements are now converted into XP. check your profile for your new level and claim rewards. for creators: design custom achievements to reward players with XP. more details soon.

Today we’re releasing the first layer of the Remix economy on @Base. - A friendly 90/10 split - Onchain payment rails - Instant withdrawals Create a game, earn from it, and take money out anytime. Boosts are step one. In-game unlocks and achievements are next. It’s a foundation we’ll keep building on, giving creators flexible ways to earn from the games they make. Soon, game creators (for example) could make - Custom achievements only unlockable by boosters of their game - Gated characters and content - Cosmetic marketplaces We think this will encourage the builders to focus on making higher quality experiences that players want to return to and reduce the current emphasis on needing to make so many games. This iteration is more of a building block than a full feature release. For now Boosts are fairly simple - Each boost is a transaction on Base - Get a collectable border on games you boost - The boosted game gets more discovery in our algo To celebrate the launch, we’re doing a $100 tournament for every game that passes $100 in boosts over the next 7 days, up to 20 games.
