It's like the CIA with the crack epidemic: the best method is to make it easier to access. As you can see in the video, I made an animation using sprites from the demo, you can really tell they're best friends based on how Elsie knows how to press Eira's buttons. I wonder if this is the way people normally do it or if they do an estimation. In other news, there was a magnitude 6.7 earthquake in Indonesia near some of the artists I've commissioned. I only heard about it around half a day later and have reached out to them with no response yet. Let's hope it's just infrastructure issues that are preventing them from responding. Lyndon is a homebody, working from home so I gave him a tracksuit since no-one cares how you dress when you're WFH. I wanted him to have a cool face so I took inspiration from this picture of Sukuna and some other characters. The idea behind this poster is Eira and Elsie trapped inside of a TV. You can see Elsie is taking it seriously for once in her life and banging from the inside of the screen whilst Eira is flashing the double peace sign, no stress at all. 📼 MY FATHER’S LAST MESSAGE: DEVLOG # 32 📼 Here's one of the proof-of-concepts I was working on for the character profiles. As you can see, I was mainly thinking about showing their age, height, birthday, likes, dislikes, as well as some of their character traits. Other aspects I was debating were a single line as a narrative hook e.g., a young woman, caught between love and betrayal at the hands of her family, a single truth unravelling her world; their occupation e.g., student/fashion designer/first year business student in university. I'm still trying to make the analog tech theme stick by having the profile on a background of static scanlines. I'm gonna keep playing with it until I land on an idea that's much less amateur-ish. 📼 MY FATHER’S LAST MESSAGE: DEVLOG # 31 📼 Alongside Eira, I thought I cooked with the original concept art of Lucille between the braid and the outfit. But yet again, the character artist had blown me away, and I realised there truly are levels to this. The inspiration was another anime mom clasping her hands together but I found this one quicker. Also, Lucille's perpetually closed eyes is a character trait often seen in anime by the name of "itome", translating to string eyes. I believe I saw in a documentary that it was a cost-cutting measure but I just really like itome character like Gin Ichimaru and Mei Meido. #visualnovel #vndev #indiedev #kickstarter #devlog

Solomon is pretty built, a nice piece on his wrist, and a successful fashion designer. I had to nerf him by making him bald and have poor eyesight, after all, one man cannot have it all.
