So I am in the center with trans. Just want to make this clear. I think their is definitely an over reach when it comes to the children aspect. Not saying we should invalidate it especially at the 16+ range when they are way more coherent of decision making. Once you are 18+ you are there on an adult. Whatever you do to yourself or how you wish to set yourself up shouldn't be punished. I would even say we could start the transitioning process as early as 17 since by the time HRT and all that is fully in effect it should be ready by their 18th birthday. I also don't think its a bad idea to do a psychological evaluation before any surgerys to make sure they are of sound mind and not being pushed to it for someone elses benefit. The less detransitionings the better. This is a very disliked opinon on both sides despite it not being extreamist or even hostile. Just want as much safety all around and make sure the end result is to the benefit of the adult.
