MASPALOMAS CARNIVAL | OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT : EVENTS REPORTS - Canine Carnival Gala - March 18th > Reported - Drag Gala - 19th > Reported - Rescue of the Sardine, Tourist Gala, Carnival in the Sun, and the 'Mogollón' party - March 20th > Reported - Main Parade, March 21st > To be announced The Department of Festivities and Events of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Town Hall hereby announces the postponement and rescheduling of several events of the Maspalomas International Carnival 2026. This decision follows the alert for wind, rain, and coastal phenomena declared by the Government of the Canary Islands due to Storm 'Therese', in coordination with the guidelines established by the Gran Canaria Island Council (PEIN) and the local emergency plan (PEMU). Following the recommendations of the security and emergency services, and prioritizing the safety of participants, attendees, and organizers at all times, the Town Hall has decided to postpone the following scheduled events: > Canine Carnival Gala: Originally scheduled for today, Wednesday 18th, at 17h. > Drag Gala: Originally scheduled for Thursday 19th. Please note that tickets already purchased will remain valid for the new date. > Rescue of the Sardine, Tourist Gala, Carnival in the Sun, and the 'Mogollón' party: Originally scheduled for Friday 20th. On Thursday 19th, based on the ongoing evaluation by emergency services, a decision will be made regarding the Main Parade (Gran Cabalgata) and its 'Mogollón', currently planned for Saturday 21st. New dates and times for all postponed events will be communicated shortly.
