Update on Colts QB Anthony Richardson, who is available via trade. No deal is imminent, per multiple sources. There are interested teams, but the dust is still settling from free agency. One particular team to monitor: the Green Bay Packers.

Zero chance Michael Pittman Jr sees this but: nothing but respect and the best for him going forward. Been as subjected to the nightmare QB carousel as anyone in the organization. Played through extreme injury. Represented the organization and community so well.

@JoshWilsonSB Firing Shane would be really, really dumb. He’d be a head coach elsewhere within a couple weeks if fired. He has done a remarkable job this year.

That doesn’t mean the Colts should keep him. They should hire a new GM and let him decide. But he’s proved some things about his work with QBs, I think. And if the Colts really plan to run it back with Jones next year, I think that’s a far scarier thought without Steichen.

I’m not the biggest Shane Steichen fan, but this season has been pretty good for him. He has a reputation as a QB guru, but Anthony Richardson didn’t look good. This year? He’s made Daniel Jones, a 44 year old Philip Rivers, and rookie Riley Leonard all look not terrible!

@HolderStephen He literally dropped one today. Was like a 5 yard pass that hit him in the chest. But he has had a remarkable season. Must re-sign for Colts.

One interesting factoid on Alec Pierce: ESPN tracking has credited him for zero drops this season. A really remarkable stat.
