How about we just do what Milton Friedman said 50 years ago? “We had open boarders before 1914 and did not have any issues. Why do we have issues today with illegal immigrants? Because our welfare system is better life than where they come from. Before 1914 if you wanted to come and work hard and can make a better life - come on in.” Get rid of welfare and all the problems go away and our government debt goes away

@MurphyKeith This will be one the deepest drafts in years. Might be a reason he comes back

Could still return to Iowa State but hard to improve on his strength: 3-point shooting (record 49%). This evaluation move had been planned.

🚨 JUST IN: Stephen Miller lays it out PERFECTLY
Imagine a "native Minnesotan who works as a lineman...worried about his ability to support for and provide his family."
"And then imagine that he has a neighbor who's a SOMALI REFUGEE who arrived two years ago and has a Mercedes and NO financial stress and no worries at all in the entire world and never seems to ever go to work at all because he just went to an office in the state, lied on a piece of paper, and got unlimited free money forever for life!"
"THAT is the system that is being run and that is the corruption that this task force under the leadership of the Vice President is going to demolish." @StephenM

@CycloneLarry69 I will have a few drinks this afternoon and then take a nap. Then be ready to roll tonight

@CycloneDave69 @Hassel_Chris Just want to win. Maybe not start him and only bring him in if the bigs are in foul trouble or down big
English

.@Hassel_Chris brought up a great point on 2 guys last night with how quick the turn around could be if Iowa State were to make the elite 8 and how that could be tough on JJ’s ankle if he were to play Friday night.
Would you rather Iowa State try to get by Tennessee on Friday without him or play him and not know how he would bounce back on Sunday with short rest and not knowing if there is a Sunday if you don’t play him Friday?

@JakeBrendTV Took over a 2 win team that went winless in conference. 1st season sweet 16

Who had the better first season: T.J. Otzelberger or Ben McCollum?

I’m about to get married, and my fiancé knows I have an inheritance that was left to me by my grandparents. It’s in my name only, and I’ve been saving it for years. Now he’s saying that before we get married, I should put the entire inheritance into a joint account so we can “start fresh together,” or he doesn’t think we should go through with the wedding. I’m 36 already and this is something my family worked hard to leave me. I’m torn between wanting to build a life together and feeling like I’m being pressured to give up something important to me. What do you think I should do?

My 2 cents - there is good PE and crap PE. Historically there were a few players in the game and it was a good old boys club to be part of it (had a good 30 year run). College Foundations and Billionaires reaped the benefits for decades. The past few years - the government wanted mom and pop have access to PE/PC/Private real estate.
Firms starting popping up everywhere and raised money because it was "PE". Well these firms are investing money in industries they do not understand and making promises of huge multiples down the road. They are already over paying for the assets they are buying and have no plan on how run it. Businesses worth a few million dollars should not be sold to a PE firm - but they are.
Again the baby boomers win, as they are selling their companies the past 5 years for big multiples and it will be Gen X / Z left picking up the pieces.

OK. I have gotten some guff—it was called "fear porn"—for a tweet so let me bounce this idea off y'all from a slightly elaborated model:
1) private equity is in big trouble because they are loaded with bullshit that is not marked to market and big players are beginning to panic.
2) The redemptions are rolling in above the standard contractual limit of 5% per quarter (up to 7%).
3) To cover the early redemptions PE sells the good stuff that has a market value.
4) As the garbage gets more concentrated in the funds, PE is taking on debt to cover redemptions. So you have more debt and more dregs.
5) For me, the shakiest part of my understanding is that the creditors (banks) will be senior, which means they get paid first.
6) Ergo, the late comers will be pulling from a fund in which mark-to-market is zero or even negative.
What is wrong or missing from this description?

@boring_invest Well is it false or just not approved by the FDA so they are not allowed to make such comments?
