IMPORTANT news: 14 guillemots and 4 razorbills from the current mortality have all come back negative for #HPAIV from @APHAgovuk
This supports the idea that this mortality is related to prey availability. Is this the extreme marine heatwave's effects?

The Isle of May kittiwakes currently being hammered by Avian Influenza. Mortality was low until the last fortnight creating a thoroughly depressing situation. We aren't yet seeing mass mortality at the nests, as also noted in 2022. 1/2
