Punch is really so cute... He was abandoned by his mother, so he was raised by humans. But when he was brought to the zoo, he couldn't integrate into the monkey troop's society and could only cling to the plush toy/doll that the zookeeper gave him.

At the Winter Olympics, US figure skater Amber Glenn shared her reason for wearing the LGBTQ+ pin. Coming out can be one of the most vulnerable moments in a young person’s life. Many LGBTQ+ teens worry their parents will see them differently — or stop loving them altogether. Experts say the most powerful response is also the simplest: be supportive. Lead with “I’m glad you told me.” Listen without judgment. Keep communication open. And above all, make sure your child knows they are loved — exactly as they are. When young people feel accepted at home, they build resilience that carries them everywhere else.

During my first few weeks in EM203 at Laurier, I’ve learned that learning isn’t just doing, it’s thinking. We build mental maps, connect new info to what we already know, and use strategies like chunking, rehearsal, and retrieval to make it stick. #EM203KathleenClarke
