It’s Friday again - means Quiz time❓❗️Ultrasound shows an unclear round liver mass in a steatotic liver. Next step should always be contrast enhanced ultrasound. What do you see and what is your diagnosis? #GItwitter #MedTwitter #ultrasound #livertwitter #FOAMed #FOAMus #MedEd

Singular lymph node metastasis of a head and neck cancer. Typical ultrasound features of an inhomogenous lymph node, more round shape than wide and partly anechoic, which represents a necrosis. These metastatic lymph nodes do not hurt❗️ #MedTwitter #ultrasound #FOAMed #FOAMus

Quick Case. Patient with a history of recent trauma. He was referred for an ankle ultrasound (normal). Clearly, the problem is at the mid-foot. Lisfranc injury, maneuvers are performed with stress, axial compression on the metatarsal with a fixed midfoot, and we can clearly see the marked instability of the medial column, with opening and displacement. It is much more evident when compared to the normal side. #mskrad

How I use #POCUS for flank pain/ renal colic / urosepsis - yes, I look for hydronephrosis that might triage additional imaging, but more importantly, to look for the company it keeps! Always remember to check out the aorta if you are scanning for a stone.
