This is former Utah judge Kevin Christensen, charged with 8 counts of child sexual abuse. He's pled to 3 counts, and faces up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Not an immigrant. Not a drag queen. Not undocumented. He is, however, an elected Republican official. Every single case he's ever heard should be reviewed and reconsidered. I'm hopeful the abused children get the care and support they need & deserve.

Texas has the most uninsured children in the nation and it’s even worse in the Valley. I just spent the day meeting with health care providers in the RGV and the stories of children suffering because they can’t see a doctor would break your heart. It doesn’t have to be this way. It’s time to insure all Texas children.

I was born and raised in Texas. My family has lived in the same county in for over 100 years. I graduated from the same high school that my father did, and his father before him. I’m more of a Texan than most of the elected Republicans in this state.

Great Tx Capitol rally to save Big Bend from Trump‘s wall. Nature created enough wall in Big Bend many millennia ago. While we had a bipartisan rally, no elected GOP official showed up to participate. All of our Texas Democratic Congress members have joined me in appealing to the Trump regime to end any intrusion in Big Bend. This should be a bipartisan issue with support from Texans of every persuasion.

There is a clear difference between freed slaves gaining citizenship after centuries of injustice and illegal immigrants coming here and having children for citizenship. Acting like those are the same thing is not honest.

El Paso, TX — Earlier this week, a disturbing video from El Paso shows officers serving a warrant on a 28‑year‑old autistic woman inside her own home. In the footage, multiple officers force her to the ground; one officer punches her directly in the face while she screams that she cannot breathe. Her family reports that officers also tased her multiple times during this encounter. This incident should alarm every person who cares about civil rights, disability justice, and basic human dignity. A young autistic woman in crisis was treated like a threat instead of a patient in need of help. We are calling for a thorough, public investigation, the immediate release of all body‑camera footage, and real accountability for every officer who chose violence over de‑escalation.
