@ElPasoVisuals Yes, it’s the fans’ job to tell the organization how to run itself. I don’t have to be a chef to when I’m served a shitty meal or a director to know when a watch a shitty movie.

It’s sad that UTEP’s AD has to explain this simple thing to people in ‘26!Listen to wht he says, especially the part where the NCAA allows schools to spend up to 20 million to help get better players but UTEP could only raise 1.1 frm fans/donors.But peeps blame coaching/admin?!?!

Jim Senter wrote in his email: “The win-loss records in football, men’s and women’s basketball are nowhere near where we want them to be, nor are they what our fans expect and deserve. We believe in our head coaches, who have all been highly successful in the past. But we understand that we need to provide them with the tools to be successful. I believe we have a resource challenge, not a head coaching issue.” I asked Senter why he believes it’s a resource challenge, not a coaching issue, despite poor results in football and basketball.

@EP__Tex Yes, exactly! UA it's not a self-sustaining org, but 95% of ALL athletics programs around the country run in the red. Creative how?? Share ideas. Wht ideas haven't worked? You have access to their finances and records?! Please post them!

@ElPasoVisuals The most successful college programs, even small broke ones, have alignment within the entire organization. UTEP simply doesn’t care enough. The president of the university has to at least have some involvement and level of caring. Not pass it off to a nincompoop like senter.

@EP__Tex U want the UTEP president to not only run the entire academic institution,but also athletics? She is smart enough,like all presidents, to hire an AD to handles tht. It's not her job to run athletics.Athletics is,sorry to say, in the end a luxury. A uni is there to server students

@ElPasoVisuals UTEP athletics is not self sustaining and runs a deficit every year. UTEP pays for that shortage to keep it afloat. They can be creative with the money they do have and by bringing more dollars in. But they are incompetent. The finances and records speak for themselves.

@EP__Tex I think you/others need to read up on rules & laws. UTEP admin/president can't just take a bunch of $ frm their academics account(s) & give to UTEP athletics. In fact, EVERY year UTEP athletics HAS to write a big check to UTEP for the scholarship players they hve. That is a fact.

@ElPasoVisuals Senter will get extended. It’s easier for Wilson to go with the status quo (since she does not care) than to really take a leadership role in fixing it. She pawns it off to incompetent people who know they’ll get paid no matter what. Senter has been here since 2017.

@EP__Tex You don't think he is on the hot seat?? Of course he is. What if i told u yes, he has a built-in excuse, but so wld ANY AD for utep tht has to wrk w/these financial circumstances.Meaning, a new AD isn't going to magically be able to raise 18.5 million more dollars in EP, YEARLY!

@ElPasoVisuals UTEP has money. They just don’t spend it on athletics. Maybe try to spend money to make money. Do you go to restaurants that serve shitty food? Do you go to theaters that show shitty movies? When you do, do you talk to the manager about your vision to fix their business?

@EP__Tex also, what vision do YOU have to raise more money for utep sports? Why don't you share your ideas...why doesn't anybody with a burner account and those mad at utep athletics actually share their vision and ideas?
