No winter is complete in the prairies without a full set of mother natures walkways! Some wild weather over the last week. The crews have all battled and worked hard through it and are now starting to wrap up and get home for some well deserved downtime with their families!

I always think it’s great when we have brothers working for us and even more so on the same crew together. Meet Shaun-Lee and JD from @ESVRIGS 11. Shaun-Lee works Derrick and JD is working floorhand. Both these guys came over from South Africa and here is a little background on them below: “We grow up in a small town in the Free-State called Welkom South- Africa. We mostly played rugby growing up and farming like most small towns was not much to do. We moved to Canada 5 years ago for better quality of life and opportunities.” I like hearing about everyone’s journey and about how the ended up here, my favourite thing to do is head out to the rig and meet them. #ESV #servicerig #oilandgas

Meet the @ESVRIGS 13 crew. Kevin, Liam and Julian. These guys do a great job for us on the potash side of things and we appreciate it a lot. 45 years of experience between the three of them but we will leave it up to you to figure out who is the leader. Today we are out celebrating our “Soaring With Safety” monthly winner. Justin aka “Smitty” our Rig Manager on @ESVRIGS 14 was our winner with a real heads up play that no doubt saved an incident. Smitty noticed a roll pin coming out of the tubing elevators. He immediately stopped work, replaced the pin and inspected the elevators. Once proper adjustments were made and it was safe to proceed the crew resumed work. What could’ve been a major incident was avoided altogether because of Smitty’s attention to detail. For his efforts, he was awarded a gift card and a lunch of his choice for him and his crew. Keep up the awesome work Smitty! #ESV #soaringwithsafety #hse #nearmiss

Meet the @ESVRIGS 11 crew. We have Indigenous, Caucasian and Vietnamese blood on this crew. We have a couple of hands from South Africa and the rest are from Canada. Some grew up on thier family farms and others moved here from the city. It’s a unique crew no doubt and when we seem to live in a world where narratives push agendas which are sometimes negative it is refreshing to watch these guys go to work and crush it as a team everyday. These boys are a family, they respect each other and get it done. Everyone has a job to do and they do it well. So the next time you see someone pushing hate, racism or pitting one against the other just think of Rig 11 and realize this is how most of the world operates and not some story you read online designed to seperate us. We’re out at @ESVRIGS 11 today and we’ve had another “1st” with the company. Meet Ethan and Drake! The first pair of brothers to work on the same rig crew for us. Ethan has recently been promoted to Derrickhand. He has a great attitude, willing to take anything on and very rarely doesn’t have a smile on his face while doing it, he’s become a huge piece of the crew in short order. When he said his brother was looking for a job Rig manager Steve couldn’t get him here fast enough. This is something that makes us proud when we have created the type of work environment where family invites family to be apart of our family! #ESV #oilandgas #servicerig

Soaring With Safety December Winner(s)!! We have a split winner for December on Rig 12. Rig Manager Chris and Driller Julian. Julian was performing a level 2 inspection and noticed the ear on A Leg was bent prior to raising Derrick. This would’ve had much more serious consequences if he had not noticed it. Work was stopped, ears were engineer approved and fixed before returning to work. Thank you to Julian for being vigilant in his inspections and thanks to Chris for bringing it to attention and getting it fixed keeping everyone safe and equipment damage to a minimum! For their efforts the boys were awarded cabelas gift cards and for their crew lunch they chose Homestead Kitchen pizza from Redvers, this pizza might be the best kept secret in the Southeast so we recommend you try it the next time through and help support local business. #esv #servicerig #soaringwithsafety #hse

Boom, just like that all @ESVRIGS are rolling and we are at 100% utilization! Here is Rig 12 looking great after its first day back. We would like to thank our customer base for giving us the opportunity to be of service. We would also like to thank all of our crews, you are the reason that our customers keep calling us back and that’s just the truth! Another summer with the @ESVRIGS family is just about in the books. I never imagined this being as fun and fulfilling as it’s been. I love all these guys like family and we have something pretty special going on.
