One of the best parts of EthCC is the fact that you can meet people from all over the world 🌍 How far did you travel to attend EthCC[9] this week? 💙❤️🩵

Don't feel like doing another recap of @EthCC, but wanted to talk about something I've heard the most during the week "I don't understand why people go to main event or sponsor it, it's not worth it, just go to side events, it's better" Here's my rant and why I disagree with this take As crypto grew, so did the budgets various teams have. These teams not only want to gather their community somewhere outside, but also show that they are doing well and can invite many cool speakers to their side event First of all, these side events only exist because the main event takes place in the city. I don't see Morpho or Aave or Bridge or Redstone throwing their side event in Cannes on a random Tuesday during the year. These events benefit from the quality of their speakers or visitors only because the main event gathers everyone around it And as times become harder for crypto, it's also becoming increasingly difficult for this very event to gather enough funding to take place, and one of the reasons for it are the side events that take place nearby Some people highlighted that the Aave Day this year didn't take place at the villa next to Cannes like last year, but at the main conference. And after talking to some people, it appeared that Aave wanted to support the main event this year rather than drawing even more people away from it. I have enormous respect for the people that work throughout the year to organise this conference, and while the attendance might be lower than in the first iterations of the event (because there were not so many sides before), it's important to remember what brings us all together in the first place. I'm looking forward to the next year's edition and I believe everyone should (if they can) support the main event as much as they can instead of trying to convince everyone that they should all go to the side events and not to the main venue Crazy week, met a lot of people I've chatted with over twitter or tg for a while, made some new friends, and business-wise there is no second best Long live EthCC, now back to the grind.

Trying to catch up with @EthCC talks on YouTube but I am very much disappointed by the quality. Some videos are presented wrong, lose the sound in half way or turn on the sound half way in. Some talks are also missing. Why are they so messy this year?

ETHcc was hands down one the of the best conferences I’ve been to in the last few years. I’ve read a few posts saying sentiment was low but my experience has been quite the opposite.
